Jim Wooley

Jim has been working with .Net since the initial PDC bits in 2000, releasing his first application 1 week before the .Net 1.0 go-live. He is always striving to stay at the forefront of technology and enjoys the thrill of a new challenge. He has been active evangelizing LINQ since it's announcement in 2005. In addition, he attempts to pass on the insights he has gained by being active in the community, including leading the Atlanta VB Study Group and serving as INETA Membership Manager for the Georgia region. He is currently co-authoring the book, “LINQ in Action” which is scheduled to be released in 2007.

Joe Ferry

Joe started as a computer hobbyist back in the days of CP/M, but has been making a living with computers for the last fifteen years, eight of them as an MCT, teaching programming and database courses. Joe is currently a senior consultant with Oakwood Systems Group, Inc., working in both their St. Louis and Nashville offices.

Paul S. Waters

During Paul’s 14 years of working in IT, he has held a variety of positions including Director of IT, application developer, network administrator and help desk manager. He is a consultant for ProActive Technology specializing on Microsoft SharePoint and Business Intelligence. Lou Vega

Lou Vega is a software engineer for CSSI, Inc. currently working in support of the U.S. Navy’s Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center. His professional programming started with VB6 writing applications in support of his job as a systems engineer managing an Active Directory installation for the Navy. He’s an MCAD and MCSD for .NET and has been developing in .NET since 2002 with experience writing Active Directory management applications for large scale deployments. He is also Vice President of the Greater Charleston .NET User Group.

 In late 2004 he began development of a Pocket PC Aviation Weather program for the U.S. Navy and enjoyed working on that so much that in 2005 he started BrainThump, LLC, his own company developing Pocket PC software including Binary clock and SpaceWx – the first Pocket PC Space-Weather application.

Chad Brooks

Joe Healy

Joe Healy is the Developer Evangelist for Microsoft Gulf States Accounts, based out of Tampa Florida. Joe’s geographical responsibility is to provide ‘developer care’ for the Gulf States District for the East Region Developer team. As such, he has responsibilities to bring .NET development to the masses in Alabama, Florida, and Mississippi.

Mark Pollack

Mark has worked extensively in the financial sector in New York as an architect and developer on various front office trading systems that involved a mixture of Microsoft and Java technologies.  He has been a core Spring (Java) developer since 2003 and founded its Microsoft counterpart, Spring.NET, in 2004 which he continues to lead.  Prior to joining Interface21, he was a founding partner at CodeStreet, LLC, an independent software vendor in the financial services industry.


 

Jack Briner

Jack Briner is the founder of Flowertown Technology LLC, a technology consulting firm based in Summerville, SC.  He has a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Duke University.  He has taught at Duke University, UNC-Greensboro, and University of South Carolina in Columbia.  Most recently he was the chairperson of Computer and Information Sciences at Charleston Southern University.  He has not always been an ivory tower professor; he was a technical manager and architect at Nortel Networks for five years and wrote a bestselling game program in the 1980’s.
